Who's Playing

VCU @ Vanderbilt

Current Records: VCU 1-1; Vanderbilt 2-0

What to Know

After a two-game homestand, the VCU Rams will be on the road. They will take on the Vanderbilt Commodores at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Memorial Gym. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, the Rams nows face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

On Saturday, VCU lost to the Wagner Seahawks at home by a decisive 58-44 margin. What made the defeat an especially bitter pill for VCU to swallow was that they had been favored by 11 points coming into the game.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt didn't have too much trouble with the Texas State-San Marcos Bobcats at home on Sunday as they won 79-60. Vanderbilt can attribute much of their success to guard Scotty Pippen Jr., who had 30 points.

Vanderbilt's victory lifted them to 2-0 while VCU's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Vanderbilt can repeat their recent success or if the Rams bounce back and reverse their fortune.
