Illinois-Chicago to hire Indiana assistant Steve McClain as head coach
Indiana assistant Steve McClain has reached an agreement in principle to be UIC's next men's basketball coach, a source told CBSSports.com early Saturday.
A formal announcement is expected early next week.
McClain was previously the head coach from 1998 to 2007 at Wyoming, where he made one NCAA Tournament in nine seasons. He has also worked at the junior college level and under Jeff Bzdelik at Colorado. He's replacing Howard Moore at UIC.
