Indiana frosh Troy Williams out with hand injury
Troy Williams will miss the next few weeks to recover from a right hand injury, according to the school.
Indiana freshman Troy Williams suffered a right hand injury during a workout, the school announced on Monday.
He will miss the next few weeks to recover.
“Troy has been rising in all areas of his game,” head coach Tom Crean said. “While this is a setback, it is a minor one in the scheme of things.”
Williams, a 6-foot-7 forward from Oak Hill Academy (Va.), was ranked No. 53 in the 247Sports Composite from the class of 2013. He chose Indiana over North Carolina, Alabama and Arkansas.
Given the timetable, it seems unlikely Williams will be able to participate in Hoosier Hysteria, which is scheduled for Oct. 4.
