Missouri @ Iowa State
Current Records: Missouri 8-11; Iowa State 15-5
What to Know
The Missouri Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the #23 Iowa State Cyclones at 2 p.m. ET Saturday at James H. Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones should still be feeling good after a win, while Mizzou will be looking to regain their footing.
Mizzou was just a bucket short of a victory on Tuesday and fell 55-54 to the Auburn Tigers. Guard Jarron Coleman wasn't much of a difference maker for Mizzou; Coleman finished with ten points on 3-for-11 shooting in his 34 minutes on the court.
Speaking of close games: on Wednesday Iowa State sidestepped the Oklahoma State Cowboys for an 84-81 win. Four players on Iowa State scored in the double digits: guard Izaiah Brockington (26), guard Tyrese Hunter (18), guard Caleb Grill (15), and forward George Conditt IV (10). Conditt IV hadn't helped his team much against the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday, so this was a nice turnaround for him.
Mizzou is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.
Missouri's defeat took them down to 8-11 while Iowa State's victory pulled them up to 15-5. In Iowa State's victory, George Conditt IV had ten points along with eight rebounds and Izaiah Brockington had 26 points. We'll see if Mizzou have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
