On Wednesday night, Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski lifted Grayson Allen's "indefinite" suspension after serving just one game for a tripping incident that took place against Elon on Dec. 21.
Former Duke Blue Devils star and current ESPN basketball analyst Jay Williams wasn't afraid to share his opinion on Coach K's decision to lift Allen's suspension so soon, which he gladly did on Twitter, placing the ultimate blame on the ACC, specifically on conference commissioner John Swofford, for not stepping in to hand down appropriate punishment if Duke was not going to do it itself . He also added that he "adamantly disagreed" with his former coach on the punishment of just one game.
Regarding #Duke , I can only look at the #ACC for not properly reprimanding Allen. This is on the commissioner John Swofford. @espncbb

I said that I adamantly disagree with Coach K on this. But if he didn't suspend him longer then the ACC should've of done mandatory 3 gms. https://t.co/L1pD1Fi5mx

Krzyzewski defended his decision after Duke's win over Georgia Tech on Wednesday, calling the punishment "appropriate" in nature.
"What he did was wrong," he said. "He was punished for it. I think it's time to move on, and I think the new role he has will be a good one for him."
