Providence @ Kansas
Regular Season Records: Providence 27-5; Kansas 30-6
What to Know
The #3 Kansas Jayhawks and the #13 Providence Friars are set to clash at 7:29 p.m. ET March 25 at United Center in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
Kansas earned some more postseason success in their game on Saturday. They came out on top against the Creighton Bluejays by a score of 79-72. The Jayhawks can attribute much of their success to guard Remy Martin, who had 20 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything went the Friars' way against the Richmond Spiders on Saturday as they made off with a 79-51 win. Providence got double-digit scores from five players: forward Noah Horchler (16), guard Aljami Durham (13), guard A.J. Reeves (12), center Nate Watson (10), and guard Jared Bynum (10).
Kansas is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Dayton Flyers Nov. 26 easily too and instead slipped up with a 74-73. In other words, don't count Providence out just yet.
