LOOK: Duke students already camping for UNC game ... in March

Well, Duke's a four-loss team with plenty of speculation around its ability to make a Final Four. North Carolina is erratic and anything but a guarantee to make this year's NCAA tournament. You think that affects the vested interested by Duke fans in this rivalry? Let these pictures answer that for you.

The first assembly of what will become this has begun on Krzyzewskiville. Duke students began erecting tents over the weekend in the lead-up to the season finale on March 8, when the Blue Devils will host the Tar Heels.

Feb. 12 is when this rivalry gets its next renewal; no images or reports of Tar Heels fans setting up a temporary civilization have come about yet in Chapel Hill. Syracuse students have already begun braving the central New York blustery conditions to get good seats, however. The Orange host Duke on Feb. 1.

A few more photos below. In light of that massive tent (which seems the size of an observatory) going up Saturday, a few others pulled out the camping gear and set up shop by Monday morning. It is growing.

This is what started the hype, when Duke assistant and legendary floor-slapper Steve Wojciechowski tweeted out this picture Sunday of the great white tent.
