Louisville vs. Notre Dame odds, line: 2019 ACC Tournament picks, predictions from model on 11-5 run

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a chance to extend their season by one more day when they play the Louisville Cardinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET in the second round of the 2019 ACC Tournament. The Irish (14-18), the No. 15 seed in the tournament, ended a seven-game losing streak by beating No. 10 Georgia Tech 78-71 on Tuesday to advance to the second round. Seventh-seeded Louisville (19-12), which received a first-round bye, has lost seven of its past 10 games. The Cardinals are favored by 7.5-points in the latest Louisville vs. Notre Dame odds, while the over-under for total points scored is 135. Before making any Louisville vs. Notre Dame picks of your own, be sure to check out the ACC Tournament predictions from SportsLine's proven model.

This model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, has raked in the winnings for those following its picks. Over the past two years, the SportsLine Projection Model has returned more than $4,000 to $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks. It also entered Conference Championship Week on a strong 11-5 run on all top-rated college basketball picks. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now the model has honed in on Louisville vs. Notre Dame. We can tell you it is pointing to the over, and it has an against-the-spread pick that cashes in well over 50 percent of simulations. That one is only available at SportsLine.

The model has factored in that the Cardinals have struggled down the stretch. In its past 10 games, Louisville has averaged 64.4 points, well below its season average of 74.7. But five of the seven losses during that span have come against ranked teams, including two against the defensive wizards from Virginia.

During this 10-game stretch, one of the Cardinals' victories came against Notre Dame, a 75-61 win just 10 days ago. Forward Jordan Nwora scored 20 points while fellow sophomore Malik Williams added 16 and matched a career-high with 13 rebounds.

But just because the Cardinals beat the Irish by 14 doesn't guarantee that they'll cover the Louisville vs. Notre Dame spread in the 2019 ACC Tournament on Wednesday.

Notre Dame is led by junior center John Mooney, who averages a team-high 14.3 points and 11.2 rebounds. The third-team All-ACC selection also shoots 38.4 percent on 3-pointers. In Tuesday's win over Georgia Tech, Mooney had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The Irish, who may be without freshman forward Nate Laszewski, who did not return from Tuesday's game with a bruised tailbone, will be difficult to beat if they shoot 3-pointers like they did against the Yellow Jackets. Notre Dame hit eight of 14 shots from behind the arc.

So who wins Notre Dame vs. Louisville? And which side of the spread can you bank on in well over 50 percent of simulations?
