Louisville forward Akoy Agau is expected to be sidelined for about six weeks after undergoing sports hernia surgery on Tuesday morning in Philadelphia, Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino told CBSSports.com on Tuesday.

Agau posted a photo on Instagram early Tuesday wearing a hospital gown. The 6-foot-8 sophomore averaged 0.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 19 games last season. He's expected to be a reserve big this season capable of relieving All-American candidate Montrezl Harrell.

The Cards are ranked 10th in the preseason Top 25 (and one).
