Maryland-Eastern Shore not retaining head coach Frankie Allen
Add Maryland-Eastern Shore to the list of coaching vacancies.
Maryland-Eastern Shore is not renewing the contract of head coach Frankie Allen, the school announced Wednesday evening.
The Hawks will begin searching fore a replacement immediately.
"We thank Coach Allen for the time he dedicated to UMES," athletic director Keith Davidson said. "We appreciate his service and wish him well in his future endeavors."
Allen went 42-139 in six seasons at the school. The Hawks season ended on Monday in the MEAC tournament, finishing with a 6-24 overall record, 4-12 in the conference. Allen never won more than 11 games in a season at UMES.
He had previously been a head coach at Virginia Tech, Tennessee State and Howard.
