Maryland transfer Roddy Peters headed to South Florida
South Florida landed Maryland transfer Roddy Peters on Wednesday.
The immediate future could be a bit rocky, but new coach Orlando Antigua continues to position South Florida for a big 2015-16 season.
Maryland transfer Roddy Peters committed to the Bulls on Wednesday morning, sources told CBSSports.com.
Peters averaged 4.1 points and 2.1 assists last season for the Terrapins, and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2014-15 season. The 6-foot-3 guard was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, and chose Maryland over interest from Rhode Island, Tennessee, Oregon and others.
Antigua already landed Marshall transfer Kareem Canty, a New York native who averaged 16.3 points and 5.5 assists last season. Both Canty and Peters will be eligible for the 2015-16 season.
