ATLANTA -- Memphis coach Josh Pastner met with junior Tarik Black on Wednesday night and subsequently told CBSSports.com that the 6-foot-9 big will decide next week whether to transfer to another school or return for his senior season.

"We met last night," Pastner said Thursday afternoon. "He's going to decide by Tuesday. If he's back, he's back. If not, we'll wish him nothing but the best."

Black averaged a career-low 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in a career-low 20.8 minutes this season, and he created an off-the-court issue when he walked out of a practice midseason. Black is scheduled to graduate this semester and could play immediately somewhere else, if he wants. Meantime, Memphis is expected to return freshman big Shaq Goodwin and enroll Austin Nichols, another heavily-recruited forward.
