Michigan's Mitch McGary expected to make season debut at Iowa State
Michigan All-American Mitch McGary is expected to play for the first time this season on Sunday when the seventh-ranked Wolverines visit Iowa State, a source told CBSSports.com.
McGary missed Michigan's first two games with lower-back issues.
He is dressed for pregame activities.
The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 14.3 points and 10.8 rebounds during the NCAA tournament last season while helping the Wolverines make the title game. He could've been a first-round pick in the NBA Draft but decided to instead return to the Big Ten. That development, along with the return of Glenn Robinson III, led to Michigan being ranked in everybody's top 10.
Michigan and Iowa State both enter Sunday's game with 2-0 records.
Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. EST.
