Minnesota guard Andre Hollins (ankle) out at least one week
Minnesota guard Andre Hollins could miss at least a week after injuring his ankle on Wednesday.
Minnesota junior guard Andre Hollins will be out seven to 10 days after suffering an ankle injury on Wednesday, a source told CBSSports.com.
Hollins came down on a Wisconsin player's foot after making his first shot of the game, and did not return to action. The Golden Gophers went on to win 81-68.
The 6-foot-2 Memphis native is Minnesota's leading scorer this season, averaging 15.5 points and 2.8 assists. He has hit the 20-point mark on five separate occasions this season, and is shooting nearly 36 percent from 3-point range.
Sixth man Malik Smith will likely see a boost in minutes in Hollins' absence. He had 14 points and three assists in 34 minutes against Wisconsin.
The Golden Gophers (15-5 overall, 4-3 Big Ten) have two games in the next week and a half: at Nebraska and home against Northwestern.
