What to Know
The Princeton Tigers and the Monmouth Hawks are even-steven against one another since December of 2016 (2-2), but not for long. The Tigers are staying on the road Wednesday to face off against Monmouth at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 24 at OceanFirst Bank Center.
Princeton escaped with a win on Sunday against the Oregon State Beavers by the margin of a single free throw, 81-80. Princeton got double-digit scores from four players: guard Ethan Wright (24), forward Drew Friberg (17), guard Jaelin Llewellyn (14), and forward Tosan Evbuomwan (14).
Meanwhile, Monmouth strolled past the Saint Joseph's Hawks with points to spare this past Saturday, taking the game 87-75. Monmouth can attribute much of their success to Marcus McClary, who had 24 points along with seven rebounds, and George Papas, who had 18 points in addition to six boards.
Barring any buzzer beaters, the Tigers are expected to win a tight contest. Those interested in the spread don't face an easy decision since they are 3-1 ATS and Monmouth 4-0.
Their wins bumped Princeton to 4-1 and Monmouth to 3-1. In their victory, Princeton relied heavily on Ethan Wright, who shot 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and finished with a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Monmouth will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
