Mountain West unveils sweet floor design for league tourney

A little piece of blog candy (pun intended) for you here, as the Mountain West -- one of the savviest leagues in terms of pub/social media -- sent this out on Friday morning.

It's the floor design for the league's conference tournament, which will be in Las Vegas, at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center from March 12-16. Pretty good, right? The Reese's logo sitting atop the mountain peak to the right is a ... sweet ... touch. As is the design in general. Sepia is so in these days, is what they tell me. And while it's tempting to go overboard with floor designs, this is creative without getting complicated.

Though I still don't like the Q-Bert/Doctor Who-like conference logo. If anything, the Rocky range calls to mind the previous MWC emblem. The on-court sierra slope motif will also probably invoke a mountain of jokes about playing uphill, too.
