Who's Playing

Indiana @ Nebraska

Current Records: Indiana 12-4; Nebraska 6-12

What to Know

The Indiana Hoosiers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers will face off in a Big Ten clash at 6 p.m. ET Jan. 17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

The Hoosiers came up short against the Iowa Hawkeyes this past Thursday, falling 83-74. Despite the loss, IU got a solid performance out of forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds along with five blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jackson-Davis has had at least 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the oddsmakers predicted a rough matchup for Nebraska this past Friday, and boy were they were right. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unfortunate 92-65 punch to the gut against the Purdue Boilermakers.

The Hoosiers are the favorite in this one, with an expected 9-point margin of victory. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Thursday might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

The losses put IU at 12-4 and Nebraska at 6-12. A couple defensive stats to keep an eye on: IU have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 35.90%, which places them second in college basketball. Less enviably, the Cornhuskers are stumbling into the game with the second most points allowed per game in college basketball, having given up 79.2 on average. So the cards are definitely stacked against Nebraska.
