Who's Playing

New Mexico @ Nevada

Current Records: New Mexico 7-6; Nevada 6-5

What to Know

The Nevada Wolf Pack are 9-3 against the New Mexico Lobos since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success this past Saturday. Nevada and New Mexico will face off in a Mountain West battle at 9 p.m. ET at Lawlor Events Center. The Wolf Pack won both of their matches against New Mexico last season (68-54 and 84-74) and are aiming for the same result this time around.

Nevada was expected to have a tough go of it this past Wednesday, and that's exactly how things played out. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 88-61 walloping at the Kansas Jayhawks' hands. Guard Grant Sherfield (16 points) and guard Desmond Cambridge Jr. (16 points) were the top scorers for Nevada.

Meanwhile, the stars were brightly shining for the Lobos in a 68-54 win over the Norfolk State Spartans two weeks ago. New Mexico's guard Jaelen House was one of the most active players for the team, picking up 16 points and six assists.

The Wolf Pack are the favorite in this one, with an expected 11-point margin of victory. Their home court has been no bettor's paradise, though, as they've failed to beat the spread in three of their five home games.

Nevada is now 6-5 while New Mexico sits at 7-6. The Lobos are 2-4 after wins this year, and Nevada is 1-3 after losses.
