What to Know
After two games on the road, the Northern Kentucky Norse are heading back home. The Norse and the Green Bay Phoenix will face off in a Horizon League battle at 7 p.m. ET Thursday at BB&T Arena. The teams split their matchups last year, with Green Bay winning the first 86-82 at home on the road and NKU taking the second 71-66.
The contest between NKU and the Indiana Hoosiers last Wednesday was not a total blowout, but with NKU falling 79-61 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Guard Trevon Faulkner put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 22 points.
Meanwhile, the game between Green Bay and the Minnesota Golden Gophers last week was not particularly close, with the Phoenix falling 72-56. Guard Donovan Ivory had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 32 minutes with and five turnovers.
The Norse are the favorite in this one, with an expected 7.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are only 1-4 against the spread when favored.
The losses put NKU at 4-7 and Green Bay at 2-9.
