PHOTO: UCLA's all-blue unis are actually kind of slick

With the filter, these threads actually look nice. TV judgment comes Wednesday. (photo via Larry Drew III's Instagram)

Well, at the very least, they look a lot better than what Kansas was wearing Monday night.

The key is in the contrast. While Kansas had no distinction between jersey and jersey number (a violation, by the way), UCLA has implemented that dark blue between the jersey and the UCLA-yellow border. I like.

And I'm not normally big on the all-one-color drape in basketball. But the blue shoes and socks seem to complement the style well. Surprising. I'm actually enjoying some new-age uniform trend. What's happening to me?

At least it's not this.

Why's UCLA doing this? For a rivalry game and in the name of dousing its fans in one shade come Wednesday night. The 16-5 Bruins host 8-13 USC, and all the fans are being asked to come to the game dressed in Bruins blue. At halftime the school is honoring Reggie Miller, lifting the Hall of Famer's No. 31 jersey number into Pauley Pavilion's rafters.
