Purdue sophomore Ronnie Johnson transferring
Purdue guard Ronnie Johnson is transferring.
Two days after Purdue's season ended in the Big Ten tournament, the Boilermakers already have some roster fluctuation.
Sophomore guard Ronnie Johnson is transferring from the school.
“Ronnie has expressed his interest in transferring from our program and we have granted him his release,” head coach Matt Painter said. “We wish Ronnie the best of luck as he continues to pursue his education and basketball career.”
Johnson, a 6-foot guard from Indianapolis, averaged 10.8 points and 3.7 assists this season. He started 31 games, but his production took a dip down the stretch.
Purdue finished 15-17 on the season, losing seven straight to end the season.
