Former Kentucky star and current Morehead State coach Sean Woods is facing a misdemeanor battery charge, according to Jess Power with 14 News.

Woods was suspended for one game earlier this season because of his conduct when the Eagles played Kentucky, where he yelled at and appeared to push one of his players.

A member of the 'Unforgettables,’ Woods is perhaps best known for hitting a tough bank shot to give the Wildcats a late lead in their NCAA Tournament game against Duke, the shot that set up Christian Laettner's final attempt.
