The Nevada Wolf Pack have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. The Wolf Pack and the San Jose State Spartans will face off in a Mountain West battle at 11 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Provident Credit Union Event Center. Bragging rights belong to Nevada for now since they're up 7-1 across their past eight matchups.
Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Nevada beat the Loyola Marymount Lions 68-63 last week. Nevada's guard Grant Sherfield did his thing and had 24 points.
Meanwhile, SJSU entered their contest against the Santa Clara Broncos last Tuesday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. SJSU got maybe a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Santa Clara an easy 79-57 victory. Forward Tibet Gorener just could not get things rolling his way, playing for 30 minutes but putting up just seven points on 3-for-13 shooting.
Nevada's win lifted them to 6-4 while San Jose State's loss dropped them down to 6-5. We'll see if the Wolf Pack can repeat their recent success or if the Spartans bounce back and reverse their fortune.
