Who's Playing

Valparaiso @ Stanford

Current Records: Valparaiso 0-2; Stanford 2-1

What to Know

After a two-game homestand, the Valparaiso Brown and Gold will be on the road. They will take on the Stanford Cardinal at 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Maples Pavilion. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, the Brown and Gold nows face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

Valpo was close but no cigar on Saturday as they fell 74-70 to the Illinois-Chicago Flames. The contest was as close as the oddsmakers predicted, but Valpo had been the slight favorite coming in.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the game between Stanford and the San Jose State Spartans on Monday was still a pretty decisive one as Stanford wrapped it up with a 76-62 win at home. Stanford's forward Harrison Ingram looked sharp as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards in addition to six dimes.

Stanford's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Valparaiso's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if the Cardinal can repeat their recent success or if the Brown and Gold bounce back and reverse their fortune.
