Texas A&M dismisses guard J-Mychal Reese
It's been a rocky couple of months for J-Mychal Reese and Texas A&M, and the Aggies dismissed him on Saturday night.
Texas A&M dropped to 8-3 after its loss to Oklahoma on Saturday evening, and then lost a player too.
Sophomore guard J-Mychal Reese has been dismissed from the team for a “violation of athletic department rules and regulations.”
Reese, a top-75 recruit back in the class of 2012, was suspended indefinitely before the season for the same thing. He ended up missing the first four games of the season, then played in the six games leading up until Saturday night.
He averaged 7.0 points in those six games, shooting 42.9 percent from the 3-point land. Last season, Reese averaged 6.2 points and 1.9 assists for the Aggies.
Texas A&M finishes non-conference play with home games against North Texas and Texas-Pan American, before opening up the SEC slate at home against Arkansas.
