UCLA picks up former Harvard commit Noah Allen
From Harvard to UCLA. Noah Allen was a Crimson pledge until last month, but is now a member of UCLA's 2013 recruiting class.
Noah Allen was a major piece to Harvard’s 2013 recruiting class, but he and the Crimson parted ways last month. Five weeks later, Allen has made another college decision.
The 6-foot-5 California native is headed to UCLA.
“I am blessed for this opportunity, and I will come in and work every day with something to prove and a chip on my shoulder,” Allen told Josh Gershon of Scout.com.
The Bruins recently offered Allen after Northwestern and Washington State had become heavily involved. He was expected to choose between the latter two schools after officially visiting both, but UCLA made an impression over the weekend.
UCLA now has three perimeter players in its 2013 class, with Allen joining four-star guards Allerik Freeman and Zach LaVine.
