USC transfer Byron Wesley heading to Gonzaga
Gonzaga added a much-needed piece for the 2014-15 season on Sunday, getting a commitment from USC transfer Byron Wesley.
The lone piece Gonzaga was missing heading into next season was a high-scoring wing. That's no longer the case.
USC transfer Byron Wesley has chosen the Bulldogs, he confirmed to CBSSports.com.
Wesley picked Gonzaga over Oklahoma State, canceling a previously-planned visit to Pittsburgh last week. A number of schools, including Michigan State, made attempts to get involved shortly after Wesley announced his departure from USC.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is expected to be eligible immediately. He averaged 17.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season. Wesley will combine with Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell in one of the nation's most talented backcourts.
