UTEP coach Tim Floyd hit with one-game suspension
Conference USA announced UTEP coach Tim Floyd will serve a one-game suspension for failing to quickly leave the court after being ejected from Thursday's game at Louisiana Tech.
Conference USA suspended UTEP coach Tim Floyd was one game for failing to leave the court quickly after receiving two quick technical fouls and being ejected in a loss at Louisiana Tech on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.
The league said Floyd violated the league's conduct policy, which calls for an automatic suspension if a coach doesn't leave the floor in a timely manner after an ejection. Floyd, who was ejected with 10:05 left in the second half, will miss Saturday's game at Southern Miss.
The Miners had won seven straight games before losing 77-60 to Louisiana Tech, which leads C-USA. UTEP, tied for second in C-USA with an 11-4 record, is 19-8 overall.
