Mondy -- on a Saturday!

Oakland's Duke Mondy, who entered the day second in the nation in steals (3.3 per game), won the game for the Grizzlies over Illinois-Chicago. The team got a 76-75 win thanks to UIC's decision to not completely stymie Mondy.

Mondy took the ball up the court with little resistance and canned the shot at the buzzer.

Travis Bader is actually the real 3-point threat for Oakland, but perhaps sensing UIC would drape Bader, Oakland coach Greg Kampe allowed Mondy to put the game in his hands. The first person to get to Mondy in the postgame celebration? That's No. 3, Bader. Mondy had 11 points and six steals. Kahlil Felder had 21 points to lead OU, which is now 8-14. J
