First of all, must give many thinks to The Classical and Grantland for unearthing this video.

The 1987-88 Arizona team was one of the best in the country, reaching the Final Four and getting ranked No. 2 in both polls. Sean Elliott was a stud, while Steve Kerr, Sean Rooks, Jud Buechler and Tom Tolbert also got drafted. Moreover, Kenny Lofton became a star baseball player. From now on, though, I probably won’t associate any of that with the Wildcats team.

It’s now only the video that will take up space in my memory.

A couple of things to watch for: the random “uhhs” and high-fives that take place while rapping, the long-sleeve sweatshirt/pink shorts combo that Kerr is pulling off, and the “don’t do drugs” references that sneak in there.

If only they could have convinced Lute Olson to drop a verse.
