Wyoming coach Larry Shyatt out for Air Force game due to illness
The Cowboys announced Wednesday that Shyatt will be unable to coach his team tonight.
Wyoming, which is 11-6, will not have the services of head coach Larry Shyatt on Wednesday night. The team is playing at 9-8 Air Force, but Shyatt was unable to travel due to illness, according to a school release.
Shyatt is hoping to able healthy enough to rejoin the team for Thursday's practice back in Laramie, Wyo. Assistant coach Allen Edwards will lead the team for Wednesday's game.
The Cowboys are 2-2 in the Mountain West.
Air Force, by the way, has health news of its own that's recently come out. Coach Dave Pilipovich told the Colorado Springs Gazette that AFA assistant coach Drew Long has missed most of this season due to a battle with cancer. Long, 32, has been battling and rehabbing from rectal cancer, and has spent mosmt of his time in Houston, with family, for the past two months.
