Denzel Valentine: Signs with Cavaliers
Valentine signed a two-year, partially guarenteed deal with the Cavaliers on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports
Valentine had been with the Bulls since getting drafted in 2016. He averaged 7.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 19.8 minutes during his time there. He will now try to make an impression with Cleveland at training camp.... See More ... See Less
Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Scores 11 off bench
Valentine had 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), an assist and a block in 17 minutes off the bench Friday against Memphis.
The Zach LaVine-less Bulls took another loss, but Valentine showed well while seeing his most minutes in any game since April 2. With LaVine likely to miss roughly two weeks, Valentine could see a slight uptick in his workload, though he's still unlikely to be a viable fantasy option in standard leagues.... See More ... Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Bounces back with 19 off bench
Valentine had 19 points (8-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt), six rebounds and four assists in Wednesday's loss to Phoenix.
The Michigan State product's role has fluctuated rather drastically of late, as he was a DNP-CD in Monday night's loss to Golden State. But with Zach LaVine (ankle) sidelined Wednesday, coach Billy Donovan inserted Valentine back into the rotation and it paid dividends. However, the Bulls still dropped their fifth straight game and are now 0-3 since acquiring Nikola Vucevic at the deadline.... See More ... See Less
Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Can't find rhythm
Valentine is averaging 17.7 minutes, 5.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.4 rebounds on 32.8 percent shooting in 18 games since the All-Star break.
The 27-year-old has dealt with injuries throughout his career, but even in a relatively healthy season, he's struggled to produce, shooting 37.6 percent from the field (second worst of his career). Valentine remains locked into the rotation despite the struggles, particularly with the departures of Otto Porter and Chandler Hutchison. But without an uptick in production, his value is dismal in fantasy.... See More ... See Less

Valentine managed 10 points (5-10 FG), five rebounds, three assists and three steals in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 133-126 overtime win over the Timberwolves.
Valentine swiped a season-high three steals Wednesday, and he did a good job of filling out other parts of the stat sheet as well. He's found himself in a legitimate rotational role this season. In his 27 appearances, the 27-year-old has averaged 7.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists.... See More ... See Less

Valentine totaled five points (2-9 FG, 1-7 3PT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes Monday against the Rockets.
Valentine wasn't locked in from downtown in this one, knocking down just one of the seven shots he hoisted up. Despite his struggles, the Bulls ran away with a 120-100 victory on the road. The Michigan State product has managed to contribute outside of the scoring column of late, mainly in the rebounding department. He's averaging 4.6 rebounds over his last 11 contests.... See More ... Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Retreats to bench
Valentine isn't starting Friday's game against the Clippers, Garrett Chorpenning of SI.com reports.

Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Shooting falls off
Valentine scored 11 points (4-13 FG, 3-8 3 Pt) to go along with six rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes in Monday's loss to the Wizards.
Valentine remained in the starting lineup in the absence of Lauri Markkanen (shoulder) and Otto Porter (back), earning increased minutes for the second consecutive game. However, he was unable to replicate his strong shooting, missing a number of shots from the mid-range. If both Markkanen and Porter remain out, Valentine should be a decent source of points, rebounds and steals, though he'll also be prone to poor shooting nights as illustrated by Monday's performance.... Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Could remain in starting five
Valentine may have an opportunity to remain in the starting lineup with Lauri Markkanen (shoulder) set to miss the next two-to-four weeks.
Valentine made his first start of the season in Saturday's win over Orlando, playing 37 minutes and posting a season-high 20 points to go with three rebounds, four assists and one steal. It's not a guarantee that coach Billy Donovan will stick with Valentine on the wing, but for the time being he appears to be the top candidate to continue filling Markkanen's spot in the lineup. It's worth noting that Otto Porter (back) has missed the last three games and will remain out Monday against Washington.... See More ... See Less
Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Makes most of increased role
Valentine scored 20 points (8-17 FG, 4-10 3Pt) to go along with three rebounds, four assists and one steal across 37 minutes in Saturday's win over the Magic.
Valentine drew his first start of the campaign and was on the floor for a season-high 37 minutes in the absence of Lauri Markkanen (shoulder) and Otto Porter (back). He took advantage of that opportunity, drilling four threes to also reach 20 points for the first time on the season. Even in more limited minutes, Valentine has shown an intriguing ability to chip in peripheral stats, a trend that also continued Saturday. It's unclear how long Markkanen will be held out of game action, though Valentine would benefit from any further game action he is forced to miss.... See More ... See Less

Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Fares well off bench Wednesday
Valentine recorded 13 points (5-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and two steals during Wednesday's 107-103 loss to the Knicks.
Valentine fared well off the bench in this one, as the guard entered double figures offensively for the first time since Jan. 18 and added many other statistical contributions in 20 minutes of action. Valentine has been earning minutes off the bench for the Bulls throughout the season (16.9 mpg), however, his inconsistent play and often minimal production are two factors that make the former first-round selection not a viable option right now in many fantasy formats.... Valentine recorded 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and two steals across 21 minutes off the bench in Friday's loss against the Bucks.
Six Chicago players logged more minutes than Valentine, but the former Michigan State standout ended as the team's second-highest scorer -- it was the first second he surpassed the 10-point mark this season. Valentine has only played three games in 2020-21 and has hold a minor role in the rotation thus far, but he has been surprisingly productive given the opportunities he has received.... See More ...
