Top Lonzo Ball News

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Solid all-around game

Ball recorded 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-7 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 118-113 loss to the Rockets.

Ball shot extremely well in this one, but his contributions went beyond the scoring column, leaving his mark both as a playmaker and on defense. These stat-stuffing performances are nothing new for Ball, though, who's well regarded as one of the most versatile point guards in the league. His numbers back that up, as he's averaging 12.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.8 blocks per game this season.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Goes scoreless Monday

Ball closed Monday's 109-77 loss to Indiana with zero points (0-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and one block over 25 minutes.

Ball didn't have anything going for him in this contest and ended scoreless for the first time since joining Chicago, though this had already happened to him in the past. Ball will try to bounce back Wednesday when the Bulls take on the Rockets on the road.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Torches ex-club with full stat line

Ball logged 27 points (10-13 FG, 7-10 3Pt), seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Monday's 121-103 win over Los Angeles.

Against the team that drafted him, Ball went off for a season high in points and tied his campaign-best mark with seven three-pointers. Ball was scrutinized for his poor shooting during his two-year stint with Los Angeles, but he was on fire against the Lakers in the win, going 10-for-13 from the field. This could be the point guard's finest shooting night of the campaign, but even when he's less efficient Ball still puts up respectable all-around numbers, including 12.9 points, 5.4 boards, 4.6 assists, 3.1 treys and 1.9 steals.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Strong all-around outing

Ball accumulated 21 points (7-14 FG, 7-10 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 117-107 win over the Mavericks.

This was one of Ball's best games of the season, as the 21-point output was a season-high mark while his tallies of six boards and six assists were the second-best marks of the season in both categories. While scoring has never been his strong suit, and his value lies more on his ability to stuff the stat sheet on a nightly basis, Ball does have to find a way to score more points since he had gone six straight games with fewer than 15 points before breaking out in this one.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Quiet effort overall

Ball had 11 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists over 30 minutes in a 118-95 win over the Nets on Monday night.

Ball has surpassed five assists in just one game thus far, perhaps a testament to the strong shot creation DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine have been capable of generating themselves. Ball has been a top-10 asset at the point guard position, but when lacking defensive contributions he sinks closer to top-20. The Bulls will face the Mavericks on Wednesday.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Well-rounded line in defeat

Ball notched 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block across 33 minutes in Wednesday's loss against the Sixers.

Ball has never been a high-volume scorer, and the fact that he has surpassed the 15-point mark just once this season is perhaps the best example of that. He's not likely to become a better scorer any time soon, though, especially since he shares the offense with DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. Fortunately for fantasy managers who rostered Ball, he does enough in other areas of the game to remain relevant across all formats. Through eight games, Ball is averaging 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.1 blocks across 34.4 minutes per tilt.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Racks up four steals Saturday

Ball closed with 11 points (4-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four steals and two assists in 33 minutes during Saturday's 107-99 victory over the Jazz.

Despite remaining quiet on the offensive end, Ball found a way to contribute, continuing what has been a nice start to the season. Typically the third or fourth option on offense, fantasy managers are going to have to deal with the fact that he is not going to put up sizeable scoring numbers on a nightly basis. His value lies with his ability to put up numbers across the board, something he has been doing in spades thus far.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Quietest offensive outing

Ball had six points (2-8 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and a block in 33 minutes on Thursday, as the Bulls fell to the Knicks 104-103.

Ball failed to reach double-digit scoring for the first time this season. With many mouths to feed in the Bulls' backcourt, Ball shareholders will likely have to accept nights like this occasionally. Normally these quieter performances will be accompanied by stronger defensive stats, making Thursday more of an outlier. He'll look to rebound against the Jazz on Saturday.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Goes for 15 points

Ball mustered 15 points (5-11 FG, 5-9 3Pt), five assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block across 38 minutes in Monday's win over the Raptors.

Ball did all of his damage from beyond the arc, draining a season-high five treys, but he's impacting the game well beyond just scoring. As we've come to expect from him, he's filling the stat sheet in every category, averaging 14.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks per game through four appearances.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Logs triple-double vs. Pelicans

Ball recorded 17 points (6-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and one block across 35 minutes during a 128-112 win over New Orleans.

Ball exacted revenge against the team that traded him to Chicago. He now has eight triple-doubles across tenures with three different franchises. Considering the consistency, Ball's fantasy managers shouldn't worry about him playing alongside more scorers and better rebounders now.

  • Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Decent performance in opener

Ball scored 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt) to go along with six rebounds, four assists and one block across 33 minutes of Wednesday's season-opening win over the Pistons.

Ball shot somewhat efficiently but was less active than usual as a playmaker. After arriving in Chicago in the offseason, the 23-year-old could need some time to adjust to his new teammates' playing styles in order to gain chemistry with them. Zach LaVine ended up handling the ball more on the offensive end, but Ball's role should develop as the season gets into gear.
