Alabama bracing for Eddie Lacy, Dee Milliner jumping to NFL Draft

With a manageable schedule and plenty of talent returning, Alabama is well-positioned for a three-peat in 2013.

But first, the NFL must collect. Right tackle D.J. Fluker will reportedly forgo his senior season to enter the NFL Draft, and two Alabama football sources told they expect running back Eddie Lacy and cornerback Dee Milliner to follow Fluker in the next few days.

Obviously the decision belongs to Lacy and Milliner, and nothing is official yet, but Alabama certainly isn't bracing for them to return.

Lacy's 157-yard, two-touchdown performance in the 42-14 national title win over Notre Dame didn't hurt his NFL stock.'s Rob Rang has Lacy as the draft's top running back, No. 43 overall. With the short shelf life of NFL running backs, Lacy is probably wise to declare.

Milliner is widely considered to be a first-round talent. The 6-foot-1 Milliner impacted the title game early by defending Notre Dame's 6-foot-6 tight end, Tyler Eifert, on a lob pass on Notre Dame's first drive.
