Alabama LT Cyrus Kouandjio undergoes offseason shoulder surgery
Potential All-SEC tackle Cyrus Kouandijo had a shoulder scope but should be ready for Alabama's season opener against Virginia Tech.
Alabama left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, a popular preseason All-SEC pick among college football publications this summer, underwent arthroscopic shoulder surgery after spring practice, according to a source.
The surgery was considered a "clean-out" and Kouandjio is back to lifting weights, according to the source. He should be good to go for the fall.
After limited to eight games in 2011 because of a knee injury, Kouandjio started all of last season and allowed 3.5 sacks through 13 games.
