Florida State and Ohio State moved into the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the new Associated Press Top 25, wrapping a dramatic rivalry week that could leave the SEC shut out of the final title game of the BCS era.

Alabama fell to No. 4 after falling to Auburn in the final second on Chris Davis' return touchdown off a missed field goal; clinching the SEC West for the Tigers and capping an improbable 11-1 finish for the first regular season of the Gus Malzahn era. Auburn, up to No. 3 in the AP poll, will wait for the new BCS standings on Sunday night to see how close the Tigers are to a BCS title game appearance. BCS expert Jerry Palm projects that Auburn will be No. 3 in Sunday's standings, needing an SEC title game win and some help to make the BCS title game.

Florida State's promotion to No. 1 marks the first time the Seminoles have been in the top spot of the AP poll since 2000. Jimbo Fisher's squad received 58 of the 60 available first-place votes, while the second place Buckeyes received none and Auburn took the final two. Needless to say, the debate for the top spots is far from settled heading into championship week.
