The 2016-17 college football season is now in the books after Clemson stunned Alabama with a last-second touchdown to capture the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship late Monday night.

That victory obviously pushed the Tigers up to No. 1 in the final AP Top 25 poll of the campaign, but they were not the only team elevated on the back of a strong postseason. Southern California, which similarly took down Penn State in the Rose Bowl, vaulted six spots up to No. 3 in the final college football rankings of the season.
