The Arkansas State Red Wolves won the last time they faced the Central Arkansas Bears, and things went their way on Saturday, too. Arkansas State strolled past Central Arkansas with points to spare, taking the matchup 40-21.

The Red Wolves got off to a sluggish start, posting six total points in the first half. As for Central Arkansas, they scored seven to put Arkansas State at a 7-6 disadvantage heading into the break. The Arkansas State offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 34 points. The contest pushed Central Arkansas down to 0-1 and pulled Arkansas State up to the reverse at 1-0.

Arkansas State will be playing at home against the Memphis Tigers at 7 p.m. ET next Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Arkansas State and Memphis will really light up the scoreboard. As for Central Arkansas, they will face off against the Missouri State Bears at 8 p.m. ET next Saturday at Robert W. Plaster Stadium. MSU also suffered a recent loss, falling 23-16 to the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday.
