Shirley entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of UNLV in 2015 with the Oakland Raiders and has made stops with the Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks.

He has appeared in five total games in his career and has recorded two tackles and one tackle for loss.

Shirley could see his first action of the year in Week 17 with the statuses of Leonard Floyd and Pernell McPhee up in the air for the Bears.
