Big East releases 2013 matchups without Boise State, San Diego State

When former Conference USA foes SMU and Houston face off in 2013, it will be for Big East bragging rights. (US Presswire)

The Big East was reportedly prepared to move on without Boise State and San Diego State, but commissioner Mike Aresco made that official Friday with the release of the 2013 conference matchups.

Each member of the 10-team Big East will play an eight-game conference schedule with four home and four away contests. It will be the first year without Pittsburgh and Syracuse, but the first year of Big East play for UCF, Houston, Memphis and SMU.

Check out the all the home and away matchups below, and let us know what you think about the new-look Big East. It is also the last season of Big East play for Louisville (ACC) and Rutgers (Big Ten). Because of the eight-game schedule, Louisville and SMU will miss each other as Big East opponents, as will Rutgers and Memphis.
