Bivens named first-team all-state in Texas
The new ECU linebacker commit gets special recognition.
New East Carolina commit Bruce Bivens has been named a first-team 6A All-State selection for the state of Texas by the Associated Press.
Bivens, who committed to ECU and flipped from Fresno State on Thursday over nearly 20 other offers, had a monster senior season for Aldine Davis in Houston, Texas, tallying 81 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 20.5 TFL, four fumble recoveries, two defensive touchdowns, six forced fumbles and two interceptions.
Levi Jones, the younger brother of ECU receiver Zay Jones, was also named a first-team all-state selection.
Bivens was commitment No. 21 for the Pirates of the 2017 cycle. He's rated three stars by 247Sports.
