Boise State starting QB Ryan Finley out 8 weeks with broken ankle

Boise State quarterback Ryan Finley will miss eight weeks due to a broken bone in his ankle that he suffered against Idaho on Friday night. Coach Bryan Harsin announced the injury officially on Sunday afternoon.

Harsin did not name a starter for the Broncos upcoming game against Virginia, but he expects sophomore Tommy Stuart and true freshman Brett Rypien both to play.

Finley had 485 passing yards, one touchdown and four interceptions while completing 65.7 percent of his passes so far this season. Rypien is 8-of-9 passing for 126 yards, while Stuart is 9 of 13 for 69 yards and one touchdown this season.
