In a game Tom Fornelli predicted would be one of the worst of the bowl season, it definitely delivered. Unfortunately, it was the only football on during Christmas Eve, so it was Hawaii Bowl or nothing.

Story of the game: It was the Driphus Jackson Show as he threw three touchdowns, each to a different player, as Rice dominated the Bulldogs 30-6 (Recap).

Fresno State's offense was horrendous, which had just 27 total yards through three quarters.

Starting quarterback Brian Burrell ended up getting benched after throwing for only 44 yards and two interceptions in three quarters of action. Zack Greenlee didn't fair any better moving the ball, failing to get Fresno in the end zone and finishing just 7-of-18 passing.

The only drama was seeing if Jowan Davis was going to end up with 1,000 yards rushing on the season. Rice was feeding him the ball on just about every play in the final minutes. He fell short ending with 956.

Players of the game: Jackson with his three touchdowns, but credit also goes to Dennis Parks, Mario Hull and Jordan Taylor, who all had TD receptions. Parks led the way with five catches for 109 yards.

Highlight of the game: Hull hauled in a 69-yard touchdown pass from Jackson at the end of the first quarter to give Rice a 16-3 lead. The pass was under thrown, but Hull made a great adjustment to come back to the ball for the TD.

The other highlight of the game came as Rice was running out the clock. Walk-on Jayson Carter, the 4-foot-9 running back, ran for two yards on his final collegiate carry. It seems like just yesterday Carter got his first career carry.

Tweet of the game: Greatest sign ever.

Christmas Vacation is so awesome and so is this sign. Of course, if you've never seen the movie or can't remember, the sign was inspired by this movie clip.

Grade: D. This game was over in the first quarter. And realistically, how many of you actually stayed up to watch this game?
