Braxton Miller is probable for Florida A&M
In this week's edition of "Is Braxton Miller Healthy?" Ohio State coach Urban Meyer lists his quarterback as probable.
Not that it should matter much given the way Kenny Guiton has played and given who Ohio State's opponent is this week, but Urban Meyer told reporters on Monday that Braxton Miller is probable for Saturday's game against Florida A&M.
"We've got a lot of work to do. If he's ready, he'll play this week," said Meyer.
According to Meyer the MCL sprain that Miller is dealing with is a grade one sprain, which is the least severe ligament sprain. Meyer also said that right now Miller wouldn't have any trouble when it comes to running in a straight line, but lateral movement is an issue.
Of course, whether Miller plays or not this week could come down to what Meyer feels is more important. The truth is that Ohio State is going to beat Florida A&M with or without Meyer. The question is do the Buckeyes want to risk Miller further aggravating his injury in a game he's not needed.
On one hand, with Wisconsin and Big Ten play looming in two weeks, it makes sense to get Miller back on the field to work off any possible rust. On the other hand, another week off could ensure that Miller is completely healthy for conference play.
