It's a fast turnaround from the five-day opening weekend to a Week 2 that's loaded with intriguing matchups. Instead of the usual Sunday release, the new Coaches Poll college football rankings came on Tuesday.

Alabama remained ranked No. 1 and Florida State dropped down six spots to No. 9 after the loss to the Tide. There was also a shake up near the bottom of the top 25 after Texas' season-opening loss to Maryland, including Notre Dame's entry in the rankings at No. 25. Florida took the biggest tumble of any team, falling eight spots to No. 24 after losing to Michigan.
