College football expert picks and predictions, Week 12: Missouri covers easily
Barrett Sallee is cashing on 67 percent of his best bets and gives 3 strong picks for Week 12
Before you make any bets or picks for Week 12 of the college football season, you need to hear what Barrett Sallee has to say.
A CBS Sports college football expert, ESPNU SiriusXM Radio host and Heisman Trophy voter, Sallee is absolutely crushing the books this season.
He continues to be among the top CBS experts picking college football games against the spread and he's cashing a stellar 67 percent of the best bets he has shared with SportsLine.
When he shared his favorite selections at SportsLine last week, he correctly said Iowa State -- a popular upset pick -- wouldn't be able to slow Oklahoma State's offense down. The result: The Cowboys dropped 49 on the Cyclones and covered the 6.5-point spread, giving Sallee yet another cash.
Now, Sallee has studied the matchups for Week 12 and he is again sharing his favorite picks over at SportsLine.
We'll give one away: Sallee is calling for Missouri (-8.5) to continue to roll through the SEC East after crushing Florida and Tennessee the past two weeks. Butch Jones was canned after Missouri's 50-point blowup against the Vols. Up next: Vanderbilt, a team tied for last place in their division.
Sallee sees this as a complete mismatch. Lead by NFL-caliber quarterback Drew Lock, Missouri has been lighting up scoreboards and stat sheets in recent weeks. The Tigers are first in the SEC in total offense and second in passing offense.
"Kentucky just laid 44 points on Vanderbilt," Sallee said. "And you're telling me the Commodores are going to keep it within single digits against a Missouri offense that has scored at least 45 points every time out during the current four-game winning streak? Nope. Drew Lock, who has 35 touchdown passes, will have at least four more against the Dores and lead Missouri to a big road win."
SportsLine's advanced projections predict Lock will continue to put up big numbers, throwing for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. He is first in the nation in passing touchdowns and leads all SEC quarterbacks in passing yards per game by over 70 yards.
After a hot start to the season, the Commodores have lost six of seven and remain winless in conference play. They've given up at least 34 points in every SEC game this season. Lay the points and back the Tigers with confidence in this one.
Sallee is also calling for a huge home favorite to get the scare of a lifetime against a team Vegas is completely overlooking. Find out who it is at SportsLine and you'll be well on your way to a profitable weekend.
So who is Sallee extremely confident in for Week 12 of the college football season? Visit SportsLine now to see which favorite is about to roll to a huge victory and which road team Vegas is overlooking delivers the shock of a lifetime, all from one of CBS' most accurate college football experts who nailed Oklahoma State's win over Iowa State last week and is cashing on 67 percent of his best bets given to SportsLine.
