Storylines: San Diego State returned to its dominant ways on Saturday, blowing UNLV out 41-10. SDSU remains first in the Mountain West's West division with a 2-0 conference record and a 6-0 overall record. Fresno State isn't far behind, but its 2-0 record is second to a 3-2 overall record -- SDSU was able to beat Stanford, a Power Five opponent -- something Fresno State could not accomplish against Washington or Alabama. Boise State is 3-2 as well with its losses coming to tough Washington State and Virginia teams. In spite of these struggles, the Broncos find themselves first in the Mountain West's Mountain division, alongside the Rams of Colorado State. SDSU will be one of its toughest conference match-ups of the season -- and an excellent litmus test for where this particular Bronco team stands.
