David Shaw has 'no desire to pursue another job'
It's Black Monday in the NFL, which means a whole lot of coaching jobs are opening up. Jobs Stanford's David Shaw doesn't want.
Stanford coach David Shaw has heard his name mentioned as a candidate for a number of open jobs, both in college and at the NFL level. And every time he's been asked about those jobs Shaw has made it pretty clear he's not interested in leaving Stanford.
Well, it's Black Monday in the NFL, and as of publication of this post, five NFL jobs came open, so of course Shaw was asked about his interest in those jobs. In short, he has none.
"I have no desire to pursue another job," Shaw told Sports Illustrated's Pete Thamel.
Now, while that should put an end to any speculation, we all know that it won't because these are coaching search rumors we're dealing with here. They do not abide by the laws of logic and reason, but by the laws of boosters and agents across the country.
So you can bet David Shaw will be asked about another coaching job again at some point this winter, whether he has any desire to answer the question or not.
