Florida and NC State announced Thursday that the programs have agreed to home-and-home series of college football games in 2026 and 2032. The two will meet in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2026 and Gainesville, Florida, in 2032.
The Gators and Wolfpack teams have 14 all-time meetings with Florida holding 9-4-1 record over NC State. The last meeting came in 1992 when Florida topped NC State 27-10 in the Gator Bowl.
NC State is the second ACC team other than annual rival Florida State to be added to Florida's strong slate of upcoming nonconference games. Florida will square off with another ACC rival, Miami (FL), in 2024-25. The Gators have announced several other nonconference home-and-home series as of late, including Utah (2022-23), California (2026-27), Colorado (2028-29), Arizona State (2028, 2031) and Texas (2030-31). Their annual rivalry with the Seminoles has been agreed upon through 2037.
The new scheduling philosophy for the Gators is a far cry from what it was over the last three decades. The last time that Florida played a true road game outside of the Sunshine State was in 1991 when it lost to Syracuse. 38-21.
The Wolfpack have out-of-conference home-and-home series' set with Mississippi State (2020-21), Texas Tech (2022, 2027) and BYU (2024, 2030). Those games are in addition to several games with Notre Dame as part of the partnership between the Fighting Irish and the ACC.
