Jameis Winston has added yet another award to his growing collection. On Tuesday, the Associated Press named the Florida State quarterback as the college football player of the year.

Winston already won the Heisman Trophy and was named the Walter Camp national player of the year, the Davey O'Brien quarterback of the year and the ACC player of the year.

In the AP player of the year voting, Winston received 49 out of 56 votes cast by AP Top 25 poll voters. Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch received three votes and Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron got two while both Boston College running back Andre Williams and Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard each received one vote.

On the field, Florida State has been practicing for the BCS title game against Auburn. The Seminoles have been off since Sunday and will hold one more practice in Tallahassee on Dec. 26 before departing for Pasadena on Dec. 31.
